Dignity in a Bag: Nourishing Lives, One Kit at a Time
No one deserves to grow old in hunger. Yet, in the crowded slums of Bangalore, many elderly women, men, and widows struggle daily to afford even a basic meal. With no steady income, no family support, and fading health, they often go unnoticed and uncared for.
Through our Monthly Grocery Kit Distribution Programme, Sri Vasavi Foundation supports over 100 elderly individuals with a thoughtfully packed ration kit. Each kit contains essentials like rice, flour, red gram, oil, salt, sugar, tea powder, and masala packets—enough to sustain a person with dignity for the month.
More than just food, this is our way of saying: You are not forgotten. You are respected. You are loved.
Because caring for our elders isn’t an act of kindness—it’s our responsibility as a society.
